Technical Information :
Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) is a synthetic fluoropolymer of tetrafluoroethylene that has numerous applications. PTFE is used as a non-stick coating for pans and other cookware. It is non-reactive, partly because of the strength of carbon–flourine bonds, and so it is often used in containers and pipework for reactive and corrosive chemicals. Where used as a lubricant, PTFE reduces friction, wear and energy consumption of machinery. It is commonly used as a graft material in surgical interventions. Also, it is frequently employed as coating on catheters; this interferes with the ability of bacteria and other infectious agents to adhere to catheters and cause hospital-acquired infections.
Its extremely highly bulk resistivity makes it an ideal material for fabricating long-life electrets, the electrostatic analogues of magnets. We apply teflon coating on any type of mould so as to increase the release properties of the moulds. Without Teflon/PTFE coating on the surface of the mould, the mould will have no release properties and the shoe sole will stick to the surface. We are the leading applicators of TEFLON COATING and we are already doing this work for many industries like in shoe Industry, cookware industry, Roller Industry (printing and embossing) etc.
PTFE Coating Benefits:
- Non-stick and release
- Non-wetting
- Temperature resistant (-270°C up to +260°C)
- Low friction and abrasion resistance
- Corrosion and chemical resistance
- Anti-galling
- High dielectric strength
PTFE coatings can be used on carbon steel, aluminium, stainless steel, steel alloys, brass and many metals. Correct surface preparation is essential to ensuring optimum performance, which we provide as part of our service. We also make it on 4.5x9 feet banners.
